Born in Hungary in 1959, Katy Torda Dagadu set up store in Ghana and began researching pearls. She founded the Ghana Bead Society in 1993 and opened her Sun Trade Beads boutique in Accra in 1996. Working closely with renowned designers such as Kofi Ansah, Joyce Abadia, Alfie Design and Tette Plaha, Katy also offers some of her creations for sale.
