GALWAY INTERNATIONAL ARTS FESTIVAL

Probably the largest and most varied arts festival in the country, it began in 1978 and has only grown since. With almost 200 performances in over 25 venues, it brings together theater, art, local and international music, spectacular performances in the city's narrow, winding streets and the exchange of ideas through its discussion platform, First Thought Talks. Impossible to miss if you're in Galway in July!
