Located on the border with Niger, Malanville is a transit town where traders from Niger, Nigeria and Burkina Faso meet. The large inter-regional market is held daily, although Saturday is particularly busy. You will find a wide range of products from all over. A bridge spans the Niger River. It leads to Gaya, on the other side of the border. The Niger valley, bordered upstream by Regional Park W, is populated by Fulani, Dendi from Mali, Tchinka and Gourmantché from Burkina Faso. It is still Benin, but already another country.
