This restaurant in Grand-Popo is THE place to be for an evening by candlelight. This straw hut "feet in the sand" was opened by the chef Matthieu Yelome. A chef who surprises with the uniqueness of his menu and the excellence of his African, French and Italian dishes. As a beachfront restaurant, fish and seafood take pride of place: carp, lobster, sole, barracuda... grilled to perfection, sautéed with parsimony and finesse. A cuisine of great quality, where Africa and Europe meet.

Cet endroit est calme et paisible et j'y ai passé 4 semaines consécutives et agréables entre février et mars 2O20. La nourriture est excellente et le prix des repas n'est aucunement excessif même si de nombreux compatriotes français ou autres (j'ai bien observé leur comportement et leurs réactions notamment en voyant l'addition) sont plus préoccupés à vouloir ne pas dépenser alors que les repas sont proposés entre 4000 et 5OOO cfa ce qui est absolument justifié compte tenu de la qualité et de la présentation des plats mais aussi du cadre absolument enchanteur avec vue surprenante sur l'océan. La 5ème étoile sera méritée si, et seulement si, le temps d'attente est diminué. Affaire à suivre donc. En attendant, je recommande vivement cet établissement et n'oublie pas de remercier tout un personnel oeuvrant avec sincérité pour le bien-être de chaque cliente et client.
