This large, well-known Cotonou bookshop distributes French and international press, including magazines, and recent works by French publishers. A selection of works focuses on local authors. There's also a large collection of children's literature, as well as esoteric and religious works. The bookshop also boasts a beautiful stationery corner with all the major brands of paper and school supplies. Please note: the bookshop has another outlet in the Yerevan shopping center (Super U), near the airport.

SONAEC Bookstore is a department of SONAEC (Société Nouvelle d'Automobile d'Équipement et de Commerce), a subsidiary of the FADOUL Africa Group. The company has a capital of 200,000,000 CFA francs (fully paid up) and has been in existence since December 1987. It is registered in the Trade Register under the number 14583-B for INSAE and 3200800596810 for IFU. We distribute exclusively the papers of brands N°1, EXPLORER, and market all thenecessary of office for CLAIREFONTAINE; HAMELIN; CLARO; ESSELTE; MAPED; QUO VADIS... for the European brands.

The Bookshop :
We are 1st distributor for houses such as HACHETTE ; INTERFORUM , VOLUMEN & SODIS in addition to the other publishing houses that we distribute.
Thus, we find in the bookshop, school books, esoteric and religious books, adventure novels, spy novels ...
The SONAEC Bookshop is classified as one of the two best bookshops in French-speaking Africa.
The Press :
We ensure the Beninese and sub-regional public the supply of newspapers and magazines of all kinds from all over the world through NMPP. SONAEC is the only one to provide this service and therefore serves institutions, other bookstores and stores or supermarkets in the area in addition to individual customers.
The press also handles the sale of Carteries.
Office automation :
We are partners and authorized distributors of Canon equipment (specialist in digital printing systems, printers, digital cameras, video and overhead projectors, fax machines...).
