CHINATOWN

The city's Chinatown includes a number of colorful temples that stand out for their sobriety, such as the Buddhist temple Kelenteng See Hin Kiong. This is one of the city's oldest districts, bordering the river, where most of the old buildings were erected over two centuries ago by Dutch merchants. Here you can admire the magnificent Muhammadan Mosque and stroll through the narrow streets, especially in the early morning when the heat is less intense.
