The deep-water port of Palu, 5 km from the city center, is wedged at the end of the bay. Pantoloan is the place to go for information on crossing the Makassar Strait to Kalimantan.Two kilometers north of Pantoloan is the Bugi village of Wani. Here, 10-15 m-long hulls are built for use as fishing boats. From here, you can cross the bay to the port of Donggala. Wani is also the departure point for boats (not from Pelni) to Toli-Toli and Pare Pare.
