WILD BANCEA ORCHIDS

Between the towns of Pendolo and Taipa lies the Bancea forest, home to an abundance of wild orchids. Getting there is a bit tricky, however, as buses are in short supply due to the Pendolo-Tentena connection, which takes the much better road to the east. The best solution is to hire a boat from the Hotel Mulia, which will take you there in 2 hours. Be sure to ask before you set off, as orchids don't bloom all year round.
