WALK TO THE LAB

Take a bemo or walk towards Labo. after 6 km, stop at Kete Kesu. Then on to Pala'tokke (hanging tombs). At Labo, the road forks towards Makula or Tembamba. After a 2-hour walk, turn left to visit the Paniki coffee plantations. Continue on to Buntao. If you want to be sure of getting back to Rantepao, it's best to rent a car, or to do this walk on Buntao market day, which ensures more regular traffic on the road (the market takes place every 6 days).
