Rather difficult to access, the Lengang waterfalls - Air Terjun Lengang - are a pretty three-tiered cascade, carved out of volcanic rock to form astonishing columns and small pools of clear water. Surrounded by lush primary jungle vegetation, it offers a cool, photogenic setting for swimming and strolling.
Around the site, local life remains very much alive: the inhabitants harvest the sap (nira) from the palm trees and transform it by hand into gula merah, a brown sugar with a typical taste.
