A captivating panorama of the arts and folklore of Central Java. Here you'll find the finest Wayang Kulit puppets, masks, batiks and musical instruments, including a finely decorated Cirebon gamelan, all on display over 6 floors. In addition, you'll find a collection of ancient weapons including swords, bows, kris and spears. The patio also houses a number of Hindu statues. There are weekly Wayang Kulit performances, with an entrance fee of 20,000 Rp.

Le spectacle de marionnettes javanaises est vraiment à voir. C'est un peu répétitif et donc 30 mn de représentation suffisent. Le théâtre d'ombres est rythmé par un orchestre de grande qualité. Possibilité de voir le marionnettiste en action et aussi les ombres derrière le rideau. Bien sur il est complexe pour nous européens de comprendre et de suivre toutes les scènes mais les marionnettes sont superbes et le marionnettiste est un artiste.
