Some say that Niega is the most beautiful beach in the surrounding area. It has been reached after approximately twenty-five minutes from Sassandra. Past the successive curtains of dense tropical vegetation, the fine sand beach is a reward for the eyes of the amazed traveler, his high palm trees gently sparkling with the caress of the wind. The disposition of the rocks created a natural swimming pool, and a little further away, blotched between ocean and lagoon, a small fishing village neyo seems straight out of a novel by Michel Tournier. From there it is possible to visit the lagoon in a canoe, meeting the riders and calaos. Far from the seasoned shores of the coast, the nature is then more hostile, more worrisome, echoing a thousand unknown noises that echo tree tree, while sliding into tunnels of narrow water galleries, the boat becomes ever more distant at the heart of this impenetrable vegetation, where the aerial roots are. The pallets sink into black water.
