Founded in the early 1960 s, the Abidjan Sailing Circle is managed by several members sharing a common passion for sailing. Situated in idyllic surroundings with a unique view of the Plateau, Abidjan Harbor and Boulay Island, this peaceful haven of peace benefits from the exceptional configuration of the Ébrié Lagoon, ideal for learning and practicing light sailing with its large navigation basin with moderate and regular thermal breeze, and securing because of the lack of waves. The club's fleet consists of Hobie Cat 16 and Mystery 6.0 catamarans, drifters, optimists and small inhabitable ones. Facilities include a large shaded bunk with a bar-restaurant, a lagoon beach, boat hangars, docking ponds, a docking dock with electric winch and a maintenance workshop. Every weekend, confirmed mariners provide training courses for light sailing and small cruise, and frame lagoon trips to Boulay Island, Île aux Cows, Jacqueville or Grand Lahou, or to discover the many preserved corners of the vast lagoon. Depending on the tide and wind, sea trips through the Vridi Canal are also possible. And if you are not a browser in the soul, you don't need to be a member to enjoy a lunch in the CVA restaurant-restaurant and enjoy a pleasant escape away from the troubled city. For info, the club organizes barbecues about every quarter. A wonderful breath of fresh air.
