The Cocody market is no more, long live the Cocody market! The Ivorian craftsmanship has indeed suffered a heavy loss when this mythical market burned down in 2007. An "emerging" version - a permanent building housing a shopping mall spread over three levels and more than 4,000 m² of retail space - officially opened its doors at the end of December 2017, but does not have the charm of the old craft market. Most of the items on offer are pleasant and well-made, especially the jewellery. Sharpen your haggling skills.
