The name of the pension refers to a Romanian writer who lived in Sulina for several years. Jean Bart is actually his pseudonym, borrowed from the famous privateer from Dunkirk (his real name is Eugeniu P. Botez).

Close to the Orthodox Church, this central boarding house occupies a historic building, the former Marine Military Circle, built in the 19th century. The establishment offers 15 double or triple rooms, with a slightly dated but comfortable decoration, as well as a duplex apartment that can accommodate up to six people. Its restaurant offers mainly fish specialities, but also international cuisine. Its pleasant terrace overlooks the pier that borders the Danube. Good value for money.

The 4-star Pension Marina offers comfortable rooms and apartments with cable TV, air conditioning, refrigerator and river views. Some have balconies.
