MILK RIVER BATH

This is a restorative stop for those who suffer from rheumatism. The hot spring (about 32°C), extremely radioactive, with its beneficial minerality, is one of the spas that Jamaicans have frequented for many years. Opened in 1794, the station welcomes mostly regulars who have come back to testify to the curative virtues of the water. Immersions in one of the 6 public baths are limited to about fifteen minutes because of the high radioactivity of the water. It is also possible to have a massage for an additional fee.
