CRAFT MARKET

South of downtown on Kingston's Waterfront amidst popular stalls, this huge artisanal market is the perfect place to shop for souvenirs, far from the touristy supermarkets of Ocho Rios or Montego Bay (you'll still have to haggle). Tiny stalls offer textiles, basketry, wooden statuettes and objects, turtle shell jewelry - which environmentalists advise to leave on the stalls -, reggae cassettes, in short the whole range of handicrafts in green-black-yellow colors.
