PYONGYANG SUBWAY

Only two lines of the network are known: the "Chollima", whose name is derived from a mythical winged horse that could travel 1 000 Li per day (i.e. 500 km), and the Hyoksin line(restoration). They both stretch for about 10 km. Chonu station is the only point of intersection between the two.

Foreigners travel for free with the guides. It is possible to go and buy a ticket at the counter only if the guides allow you to do so: but be careful, you can only pay in local currency and in small denominations, a ticket costs less than one tenth of a euro cent!
