Undoubtedly one of Jeju's must-sees. Seongsan's "Rising Sun Peak" is a land mass that rose from the bottom of the sea during a volcanic eruption around 100,000 years ago. Located at the eastern end of the island and atop a vast crater, it offers a magnificent viewpoint. The village of Seongsan, at the foot of the famous crater, is not the most charming. Nevertheless, the magnificence of Seongsan Peak makes it a must-see on the island!From the Jeju busterminal, take the 720 towards Seongeup. Departures every 30 minutes. From Seogwipo, take bus 701 to Pyosun, then bus 720 to the village.
