This Confucian school was founded in 1392 (first year of King Taejo's reign), and after many relocations, it was moved to this place in 1827. It is proof that Jejudo was not totally excluded from the Kingdom's affairs and its system of national competitions. It is small but original because its buildings are made of lava stones. Five tablets of Confucian teachings are kept in Gyeseongsa Shrine.
