A national maritime park with decent sandy beaches that are popular in summer, ideal for the Chuseok festival.
The coast has been protected here and since October 1978 it has been designated as a National Maritime Park. This fairly rugged coastline has some very decent sandy beaches, but they are crowded in summer. If you visit them in June or September, there is no one there and the prices are halved. It's a good getaway not far from the ultra-urban life of Seoul, perfect, for example, to spend the Chuseok festival avoiding the congested main roads.
