FORTRESS HAEMIEUPSEONG

The walls of this fortress really have something to be proud of for the people of the town of Seosan. Indeed, this historic site built under Joseon is recognized for its exceptional quality of conservation as well as for its history. The famous Admiral Yi Sun-Sin often came to work there. It is also a place full of emotions. Indeed, at the very end of the 19th century, during the Donghak peasant revolt, more than 1,000 Christian martyrs were tortured there. Passing through the city, it is truly worth a visit.
