ÉCOLE CONFUCIANISTE (HYANGGYO)

This local Confucian school was founded in 1407 and moved to this place in 1801. It is situated facing the south, the altars to Confucius and its followers are on the top of the hill, and the buildings of the bottom. It has been restored recently and, unlike most schools of this kind, its old buildings are rather interesting. There is a neighbourhood of old houses with restaurants. There is also an old stele under a flag, high in the honour of the magistrate integrated Choe Seok.
