MISEONGDANG

Korean restaurant

It is not for its setting that we go to this tiny restaurant, but for these divine mandu napchak (Korean fried ravioli) which are served sprinkled with chilli, cébette, soy sauce and vinegar. A real delight! It is one of the oldest houses preparing this speciality in the city and certainly the best! If you still have a small space in your stomach, you can also order noodles (ramyeon or udong), they are more basic but just as satisfying. A good address that doesn't look like much but where you can enjoy yourself.

SAMCHON GUNG

Korean restaurant €€

It is one of the most famous restaurants in hanjeongsik, the traditional Korean menus. The decoration of the restaurant may be very surprising, a mixture of Korean, Chinese and Japanese furniture straight out of an attic, which makes its charm somewhere, but the food and especially the many banchans, are very fine. And the prices are quite affordable for this kind of food. All in all, it is a very good address to discover Korean cuisine in all its traditional aspects.

ANAPJEONG

Korean restaurant €€

Even if you come alone or in pairs, you will be in a room for at least 8 people. The reason? In addition to the meat or vegetarian dish you choose, dozens of banchan are brought. Although this practice is common in Korea, the quality of these accompaniments is remarkable for their originality and refinement: spicy soft crab, candied sardines, chestnut jelly, smoked salmon in rolls, etc. All this with a famous doenjang jjigae. In other words, a restaurant that is really worth a visit.

HONAM RESTAURANT

Korean restaurant

Like all the other restaurants on this street, the menu here offers one of the specialties unique to the city of Daegu: the muchimhoe. It is a dish (served really generously) made of vegetables and fish cut into very thin strips. Unsurprisingly, the whole is drizzled with a sweet and sour sauce and beautiful red chilli peppers (also spicy). Sensitive palates abstain! But rest assured, the muchimhoe is served with a cold clam soup. Not only is it welcome as a counterbalance to the chilli pepper, it's delicious.
