CHEONGNYEONGPO

This is the place where King Danjong was exiled. A sort of peninsula is formed by a sandbank covered by a pine forest and located in the hollow of a river's yaw. The whole thing is closed at the bottom by the mountain. A small ferry lower down makes the crossing to "the island". However, the place is beautiful and extremely romantic if we think of the young exiled prince at 14 years old, composing sad poems while waiting for death. Canoes can be rented, swimming and picnicking on the sandy beach... We're doing what Danjong couldn't: we're enjoying!
