Royal tomb where King Sejo and Queen Jeonghui, known for her role as regent to her son Yejong, are buried.
It is here that King Sejo, who ruled from 1455 to 1468, and Queen Jeonghui (formerly consort) are buried. The latter is known in particular for the role of regent she had to play with her son Yejong. A woman governing the affairs of state was a first.
The tomb on the left is that of the monarch and that on the right of his consort. These tombs have a royal location as they are surrounded by the sumptuous Gwangneung forest.
