For a week, traditional buffalo races are held in Negara and Lovina. The name derives from the word "kepung", which translates as "hunt". Simply put, buffaloes chase each other. The colorful buffalo races are one of the region's most picturesque attractions. Remember to come early to try and find a good spot, and when we say "early"... it's very early. The race starts at 7.30 a.m., and they're so popular that places are hard to come by..
