Temple dedicated to Shiva, Hindu deity, and Hariti, Buddhist figure of fertility, located opposite the lagoon at Candidasa.

Facing the lagoon above the road, the village's small temple is dedicated to Shiva, the Hindu deity, and Hariti, the Buddhist figure of fertility. Women wishing to become pregnant flock to the temple, their arms laden with offerings, in order to attract the good graces of the gods. This temple is of limited tourist interest, and doesn't necessarily require a visit in its own right, but if you're in the area, a little tour might be a nice addition to your visit to the city. In front of the temple is a magnificent pond covered with lotus flowers.
