A palace with remarkable tantri sculptures and waringin, it is the residence of the Anak Agung Gedé Agung royal family.
Currently, the royal family of Anak Agung Gedé Agung lives there, and it is impossible to visit it. However, you will be able to see the bas-reliefs of tantri sculptures above the walls or to contemplate the waringin which have kept their symbolic value as in the Javanese courts. The palace was built in 1771, but was restored in the late 19th century. It is said that the palace was built on the foundations of a "Griya " or Brahman house from which it would derive the name of the city: " Griya Anyar " or "new Brahman house".
