Greg will make you discover his passion for bistronomy, cheese and good wine at low prices (even in carafe). It's a guaranteed treat! Try the lamb parmentier, the fish papillote, the ratanouille or, for the more nostalgic, if the weather gets cold, enjoy fondues and raclettes on reservation! We visited on a Thursday which was ‘Steak Night’ – so we opted for a steak with various sides, all of which were perfectly cooked and very flavoursome. The Crème Brule I had for dessert was as good as the ones I’ve had in France – I would highly recommend.
The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the restaurant had a nice relaxed atmosphere. Overall we had a fantastic meal at La Cantine, and I would highly recommend a visit if you’re in Ubud.
