In a building inaugurated in the 2000 s, the Art Gallery of Leipzig has important works of German Renaissance art. Above all, those of Max Beckmann and Max Klinger, children of the city; but also those of the Die of Die Brücke and Der Blaue Reiter, including the Loving couple of Otto Müller; the impressionist, the romantic, including the famous Lebensstufen of Caspar David Friedrich. There is also a salle Lucas Cranach, including the Adam and Eve. Still a good collection of German and contemporary art. Temporary exhibitions are always of high quality. The glass building also allows you to admire Baroque houses across the street.
