HONKY TONK

The idea of Honky Tonk festivals was first tested in Schweinfurt, Bavaria, in 1993. Following its success, the organisers have implemented its concept in many German cities, including Leipzig. For one evening, true to the saying "In May, do as you please", bars and clubs, but also Lipsian restaurants, from Café Puschkin to the brands present in Alstadt, welcome groups of musicians to their premises for strictly live concerts. The visitor can thus make a tour of the popotes in a vibrant city for the occasion almost exclusively to the sound of blues, country and rock. To live!
