Inspired by the libertarian spirit of Connewitz, this center of the alternative culture of the south leipzigois has excellent programming, with regard to cinema, often in V.O. During events, the UT Connewitz also makes bar and drink, in a festive spirit that always gives an excellent atmosphere. Above all, the associative cinema is housed in a magnificent cinema room 1900, with balustrades, very high ceilings, with lots of character. Born in 1912, having worked with periods of interruption (the last being between 1993 and 2001), the UT Connewitz (abbreviated Union-Theater Connewitz) is the oldest cinema in Leipzig and one of the oldest in Germany.
