The Dresden Academy of Fine Arts, founded in 1764, is one of Germany's oldest art schools. Located in Dresden, it offers students the opportunity to explore the diversity of contemporary art and develop their artistic skills. The 10-semester fine art curriculum includes courses taught by renowned art professors, as well as courses in art theory, art history and philosophy. The academy's recently renovated studios and workshops offer exceptional working conditions. Students can choose from a variety of artistic approaches and develop their own style. The academy boasts many famous alumni, including Max Uhlig, Rudolf Bergander, Hans Grundig and Gotthardt Kuehl.
