Here is the oldest mosque in Iran. It is dated 661, twenty years after conquest by the Arabs of the Persian Empire. Based on the canons of the sassanide architecture, it displays walls with ochre tones decorated with dried bricks in the centre of arches. See also the facades screened by termites. Let's also dwell on the minaret entirely in the castellated-shaped summit. The chain of Du Kush dominates the surrounding area.
