MAUSOLEE OF HARUN AL-RASHID (GONBAD-E HARUNIYEH)

Dating back to the th century, it is the only remaining standing of the old town of Fetus. The local tradition attributed it to Harun al Rashid - whose remains are supposed to be buried alongside that of Imam Reza in Machhad - but assumptions about his origin differ. Some even speak of former Islamic fire temple dating back to the th century.
