Located west of the city center following the eponymous street, the Azadi Tower, built in 1971, has become a popular promenade of teheranais, which, without necessarily taking advantage of the view at 45 m high, wanders among the green spaces and refreshing fountains developed all around on the square. By entering the tower, in addition to the city view, you can visit the small Azadi museum, which contains in particular a copy of the Cyrus cylinder, the tower itself having been erected to celebrate the 2,500 years of the foundation of the Persian Empire. If you are in architectural style, forget the elevators for the downhill and take the stairs: they will allow you to see in detail the internal structure of the tower.

Location rather unlikely from location and what it contains. The museum that does a bit of thinking about a Soviet bunker contains all kinds of improbable objects (little more for the robot playing piano). The view of the summit remains quite surprising and the architecture admirable. Attention to the 7 tracks of the roundabout to cross to access it.
