GRANDMA’S MARATHON

In June, thousands of participants gather to try to break the speed record on this route along Highway 61 on Lake Superior. Don't worry: in spite of its crazy name, it's not grandmothers who fight each other every year! It departs from Two Harbors, east of Duluth, and ends in Canal Park, near the Airlift. To register for the marathon, visit the website and make arrangements at least one month in advance. The number of participants is limited to nine thousand three hundred.
