This art museum is located on the university campus north of the Mississippi. Architecture fans won't want to miss this building, designed by architect Frank O. Gehry, with its original geometric shapes and materials. It's a remarkable modern work, well worth a visit. Founded in 1934, the museum (which moved to its current building in 1993) houses mainly 20th-century American works. Its collection of over twenty-five thousand pieces includes works by painters Alfred Maurer and Marsden Hartley.
