This is the most famous beach in Chicago, where you can play beach volleyball and laze around with the skyscrapers in the background.
This is Chicago's best-known beach, the one that ends in an arched seawall. As soon as summer rolls around, beach volleyball is played, towels are spread out on the sand and it smells of sunscreen. In short, Chicagoans enjoy it, and you should too! It's accessible on foot and has facilities: toilets, a restaurant, bike and kayak rental agencies. This beach is also the site of the annual Chicago Air and Water Show in August.
