RAVINIA FESTIVAL

Every year since 1904, symphonic, classical, pop and dance concerts have been held in Highland Park. Good to know: Ravinia Festival is the oldest outdoor music festival in the United States. The festival runs all summer long, from June to September. There is a charge for the concerts. You sit on the grass to attend, so it's a good idea to bring a picnic. Some of the performances take place indoors, in The Pavillion or The Martin Theatre, the two venues in the park.
