Head for Urbeis from the village of Lalaye, where a white-marked path leads to the entrance. While this journey will force you to overcome your claustrophobia, your fear of the dark and of bats, it won't lead you to fortune. The mines have been worked to the bone! For centuries, the Val de Villé drew its wealth from the extraction of silver, lead, copper and antimony. Excavated with pointers and chisels, these galleries are almost four meters high, a technical prodigy for their time. Be careful, however.
