BC Ferries is the largest passenger transportation company in North America and the second largest in the world. It is possible to board as a pedestrian, cyclist or vehicle passenger. It is the only way to reach the Sunshine Coast from Vancouver. Boarding at Horseshoe Bay (north of Vancouver) to Langdale (Gibsons Terminal). The crossing of Howe Sound takes 40 minutes.
