Squamish, a town in the mountains of coastal British Columbia, is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. The town welcomes around two million visitors every year, most of whom head to Whistler to enjoy the great outdoors. Whistler-Blackcomb, North America's largest ski resort, offers over 200 ski trails, as well as the Peak 2 Peak gondola system linking Blackcomb and Whistler mountains. In summer, the Whistler Mountain Bike Park is the rendezvous of over 100,000 cyclists ready to ride more than 47 trails. Visitors can also enjoy Whistler's charming, award-winning pedestrian village. Outside Whistler, there are many attractions within easy reach of Squamish, including the West Coast Railway Park, Shannon Falls and Mount Stawamus Chief.
