CYPRESS MOUNTAIN

Open until 10pm, the slopes enchant the locals after a day's work. There are five snow-capped peaks including Hollyburn Mountain (1,314m) and The Lions (1,646m), which gives its name to the Lions Gate Bridge. At night, the view of the city of Vancouver is breathtaking. Downhill skiing, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing are all available.

In the summer, hikes leave from the base and offer magnificent views, especially on the way to the Two Lions (peaks that are famous among Vancouverites because they are easy to recognize).
