LAKE SIDE

It's a hotel, but it's best known for its restaurant, and its magnificent setting on the shores of Lake Kivu overlooking the port. It's practically the only terrace in town with direct access to the lake. After a period of relative secrecy, the word seems to have spread, and it's now a popular spot. Its most famous dishes: mushroom toast (depending on the season), and a recipe for pigeon (poultry) with green papaya, called "ordinateur", who knows why? Fresh coffee from the hills of Bukavu is also served.
