MALAÏKA
In Lubumbashi, we were told about Malaïka and its venues. We found out, it's top-notch! First of all, the service is provided by a brigade of friendly, efficient and cheerful young women. Nkuku ya kisendji! They do their utmost to keep this beautiful two-storey facility running smoothly. One large room for weddings and other events, and a dozen smaller ones for all possible uses. It's a real labyrinth... There are even two rooms for a nap or an overnight stay ($30 and $50). And since Malaïka is also a restaurant, the kitchen is busy cooking up a whole host of local dishes using fresh produce of the day (fufu, bukari, kapolowe, amarantes, sombe, etc.). A must in Likasi.
