NATIONAL ETHNOGRAPHIC MUSEUM

The Institut des Musées Nationaux du Congo is in the midst of an indefinite renovation program, and has moved most of its rich collections to the tower at the Limete interchange. The splendid estate on Mont Ngaliema is therefore currently in hibernation, if we disregard the local temperature... Some one hundred works (masks, statues, fetishes, etc.) make up the collection, and a large part of it will soon be accessible. Also not accessible are the park with its colonial statues, the Théâtre de Verdure and the Pioneer Cemetery.
