The Academy of Fine Arts was founded in 1943. Under Mobutu's regime, it was solicited for the realization of monumental commissions. Today it teaches ceramics, sculpture, painting, decoration, advertising, beaten metal, graphic creation, audiovisual design, design and textile techniques. The visit is really worthwhile because it is possible to meet young talents, with many works exhibited in the different workshops (some are for sale at very affordable prices).
