TOWER 1804: MONUMENT COMMEMORATING THE BICENTENARY OF INDEPENDENCE

Supposed to be completed for the celebration of the bicentennial of Haiti's independence in 2004 and ordered by President Aristide, the tower had seen the work interrupted at the beginning of that same year. This metal tower facing the Mupanah, with its modern pyramid, symbolizes the two hundred years of the "first black republic" in the world. In 2018, the work was finally completed.
